Only if you're a terrible shopper - it's more like ??50. Each chapter can be had for around ??13 and GW:EN for a tenner.

I echo what the scrub above said.

However, buy GW to play on the side. If you play WoW constantly it does get a bit boring.

This isn't to say GW is bad. GW is just made to be easy. Easy gets boring, fast.

You could wait for Age of Conan, or Warhammer Online. Both of those are getting a lot of hype.

World of Warccraft's main pro is the content. There's lots of it! They have a great range of armors and weapons, a great intricate string of quests, a good flow the game, lots of players, new updates, a lot of skills, balanced system, and a lot of great ideas bombed in there.

Guild Wars is a bit unique. It steps away from a traditional MMORPG. Instead of meeting new players wherever you are, you get your own copy of your map outside of the town. This results in a better storyline, more freedom, and at the same time not much loss. If you want to talk to someone, just go to a town near by ^_^. Plus, you don't have to walk there either! Just simply select the town and hit travel~ boom you're there~ Also the skills, all the skills are pretty much nerfed so that they're all even. You can only carry up to 8 skills at once, making a very decision heavy stage.

But does a great, possibly best traditional MMORPG stand up to Guild Wars?

In my opinion, yes. WoW is jsut simply amazing. Each class have been very well developed. Think about it this way. One guild wars equals to one class. That's how much thought, details, and information people put into for one class only. We're not even talking about the rest of the cities and areas.

Personally I feel the Guild Wars is too much about fairness, I mean once they see some kind of cheap farming build, *BOOM* nerfed. They should be more focused on bring better content for their games.

Think about it this way, WoW's a nerd k? and the kung fu guy is Guild Wars. You say Hey! Let's put them into a fight! We say okay!

The nerd brings a laser gun and kills Guild Wars. See? Appearance doesn't matter.

I got turned off for Warhammer when they said I could only follow one patron god that I could not choose. Not sure on Age of Conan. But I think I'm going to have to go with WoW. Sorry guys. The whole no mounts is a bit of a turn off, makes it seem like while a non-mmo game, Oblivion is better. You can fast-travel yet still have a mount. I can afford the monthly fees for WoW, so its not like it was a problem. But thanks anyway for your effort.

You can probably find the first chapter for $10 or so. It would be worth it to give it a try and see if you like it.

O I forgot something I can suggest go buy(for 1.99 it is at gamestop) a 10 hour/14 day trial for guild wars. Cheap and enough time to see if you enjoy the game.

Both games are getting old now. There will be new games next year. guild wars 2, ?WoW2?, other

Why would you want to level a WoW char up to level 70? When people won't be playing the game in a year.
